Sorry I didn't realise that you were talking about the demo version. Generally it runs the latest publicly available version of WebCards. But occasionally I test out a few extra features.

I have fixed the error and removed the debug code at the bottom.

The social media links are on the card send page, just below the picture.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything.

Great - I will email you - I have not installed the solution yet - I just tested it on your demo site.

Also - I didn't see any social media integration - where would that show?
Thanks,

The SQL debug information can be turned off and shouldn't be enabled by default.

Hello,

1) I got an error message when sending an ecard, but the card was sent anyway.

2) Why is the SQL Queries used to generate this page available on the card delivery - doesn't look very nice?

3) Can the delivery landing page be customized with more information form the site where it was sent?

Thank you!

You can put literally any html you want in the freetext field. So yes, you can embed anything into a WebCard.

We have people using html 5 canvas animations and natively embedded video (html5) and all sorts of content.

Is it possible to use any other type of animation rather than Flash? For instance, the html code used for email stationary for Outlook Express and Incredimail? Or even animations created with Paint Shop Pro?
Thank you.

Chad,

I think WebCards would be able to do this, but it would require some quite significant modifications. Are you good with PHP? Would you be able to make these changes yourself?

Well, I was actually thinking of a mode where the greeting card software functioned more as a thumbnail gallery of categories for purchasing stock cartoon artwork.

So yes, on the admin end, I would upload an image (high resolution) -then a watermarked lower quality version is created, and added to a thumbnail gallery page. During the upload process, a field where the admin could specify the price of the clipart, a description, the category for the artwork, (possibly the admin can define the categories too) and the image format(s) available. At this same time, the admin would have the option to upload a .zip file containing all of these images.

After the "card" -that is.. specific clip images are selected and added to the cart, once payment is confirmed, the recipient is emailed a secure link to the .zip file containing the purchase.

Thanks for entertaining my thoughts!
Best,
Chad

Hi, thanks for your questions.

I am trying to think how this would integrate with WebCards.

What you could do is:
* upload an image which would be your hi-res clipart image.
* a lower quality, watermarked thumbnail would be created automatically.
* a user would compose their card (which would basically be stripped down to name, email and perhaps a message)
* after the card is added to the databse the user will be taken to the payment page.
* once they have paid they are emailed a link to the card page which contains the hi-res clipart image

Does this sound like what you were thinking?

Hello, stumbled upon your site after seeing a small link on my friend's SqueakyCards.com site. (Check out his gorgeous cards by the way)

Question: Could WebCards software be re-purposed for use as a clipart stock art sales site? I am toying around with the idea of starting a cartoon clipart sales site, and would like the ability to upload a sample image to ftp, and have imagemagick on the server end watermark that sample image with a transparent .png of my choosing.

Once a user has completed payment, the software would automatically e-mail that person the purchased image(s) in a nice .zip file.

Also, I noticed the software currently supports paypal payments. Is it possible to use google checkout or other avenues through Webcards?

Thanks!

Hi, I just bought this and now find out I have no idea how to install it. I can copy and paste html code to a page on my website howtofeelgood.org hosted by weebly.com. There was no mention in documentation of all the capabilities one must have to install this. Is it possible for me to install it at my website?
I have looked through all pages for a support ticket area and cannot find that.

You can send the full content of the card directly in the email. In your email settings in the admin centre change the setting called "Send full card content in notification emails?"
Note that you won't be able to include Flash or audio files in emails.

I am not sure how we would go about integrating mailing gifts. Do you have any examples of places that offer this service?

WebCards features a reCaptcha option. It is disabled by default. It is at the bottom of the layout options section in the admin centre. You can enable reCaptcha for everybody or just for users who aren't logged in.

Let me know if you still have questions.

Question 1: when the receipient receives the ecard, is there anyway that the postcard can show up in the body of the email instead of clicking on the link? My concern is people may think it is spam or a virus and not open it.

Question 2: is it possible to add some kind of html code in the section where they create the postcard to be able to offer visitors the ability to send the receipient a gift? So basically a gift that can be mailed thru the post office. For example (flowers, candy, other gifts of our choice). Not affiliate stuff, but maybe we can incorporate a small little 2-3 product shopping cart tied to paypal. :)

p.s. for future versions, you may want to add a captcha code to the SEND button to block spam bots.

Hi,

Thanks for your questions.

We currently have no other languages than English.

The last update was about 9 months ago. We have the next release pencilled in for the end of September, but that is not set in stone yet.

The layout can be very easily changed. You just need to alter the html and css templates.

There are a couple of sites that use our software listed on our testimonials pages.

I'm with an alumni association looking to create an ecard component on their website. I've been looking at your script but have a few questions on features before we consider buying it.

1. Is there a card option where members can upload a photo into a template we've designed?
2. Would those cards, created by members, be accessible to us after being sent?

Hi, I will like to see if...

Do you have your script in spanish?

When was the last update and what's coming for future releases? When do you plan the next update?

Is there a way to adjust the layout (width, right column menu, etc.)?

Do you have some urls for some sites in action with the script in order to see some nice layouts using your script?

Thanks in advance for your answers
