Hello,

1) I got an error message when sending an ecard, but the card was sent anyway.

2) Why is the SQL Queries used to generate this page available on the card delivery - doesn't look very nice?

3) Can the delivery landing page be customized with more information form the site where it was sent?

Thank you!

Hello, stumbled upon your site after seeing a small link on my friend's SqueakyCards.com site. (Check out his gorgeous cards by the way)

Question: Could WebCards software be re-purposed for use as a clipart stock art sales site? I am toying around with the idea of starting a cartoon clipart sales site, and would like the ability to upload a sample image to ftp, and have imagemagick on the server end watermark that sample image with a transparent .png of my choosing.

Once a user has completed payment, the software would automatically e-mail that person the purchased image(s) in a nice .zip file.

Also, I noticed the software currently supports paypal payments. Is it possible to use google checkout or other avenues through Webcards?

Thanks!

Hi, I just bought this and now find out I have no idea how to install it. I can copy and paste html code to a page on my website howtofeelgood.org hosted by weebly.com. There was no mention in documentation of all the capabilities one must have to install this. Is it possible for me to install it at my website?
I have looked through all pages for a support ticket area and cannot find that.

Question 1: when the receipient receives the ecard, is there anyway that the postcard can show up in the body of the email instead of clicking on the link? My concern is people may think it is spam or a virus and not open it.

Question 2: is it possible to add some kind of html code in the section where they create the postcard to be able to offer visitors the ability to send the receipient a gift? So basically a gift that can be mailed thru the post office. For example (flowers, candy, other gifts of our choice). Not affiliate stuff, but maybe we can incorporate a small little 2-3 product shopping cart tied to paypal. :)

p.s. for future versions, you may want to add a captcha code to the SEND button to block spam bots.

2. Would those cards, created by members, be accessible to us after being sent?

1) If you buy webcards can you install it on more than 1 site for a single payment of 50?

2) if you have to install it on a single site is there a mechanism (api?) whereby you can have the images displayed on one site but send the information back to the main site so that all the work is done at the remote site. I ask because I have a site that does not allow you to have access to the cpanel and control info. You can only have what you can code on individual pages. Hence the need to pass information back to a central system.

3) I noticed that many of the sites bear a "powered by webcards" footer is this mandatory or is it that you need to pay extra to have this information taken off.

Hi
I really like this program! Before I buy, I have a couple of questions please:

1. INTEGRATION: How well will webcards integrate into an ecommerce store? We sell giftware and have decided to offer ecards (free and paid). If a customer chose a paid ecard AND a gift, could they pay for both together thru our ecommerce software (Shop Application)? Or would it be 2 seperate transactions? How about customers needing to log-on twice? Can that be avoided?
2. FRENCH: My site is in french, I don't suppose there's a translation??
3. REMINDER SERVICE: Can my clients enter event dates to be reminded of by auto-email?
4. CALENDAR: Can I show "This week's events", as oppossed to the month calendar? I would like to list the names assigned to each day in france, week by week (scrolling would be the best!)
5. APPEARANCE: I really like the greengreener layout. How far can you personnalise thru the standard software? (I'm no programmer!) Can I preview some of your templates?
NOTE: I also loved ronia's idea of face upload, like jibjab and funpunch

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

This is such a great program!

I have a few pre-sales questions:

1. How much programming or coding knowledge is required? I have none.
2. Are e-cards created as jpegs or with Word?
3. Is there a limit to the size of the e-cards? I'd like to offer customers hundreds of choices in several different categories, and some of the e-cards will have 40 lines of text.

To give you a better idea, here's a link to a thumbnail gallery on my current site:
http://www.paulafinn.com/page23.html?ifrm_10=http://paulafinn.com/gallery/index.php%3Falbum%3Dsimply-shared-friendship

Could I just transfer this gallery to my e-card site without modifying any of the images...and customers could choose an image, add their personal message and send it as an e-card? These were created as jpegs.

4. How can I be sure the longer messages will be readable? (They're not, in my current gallery).

5. If I get a new computer or if my current one crashes -- will I have to buy the software again?

Thanks so much for your help!

My question is... would it be easy or complicated to change over my 5 ot 6 hundred cards with your "WebCards" software and install it on my web service providers server? Considering I did so in Tafmaster which was a pretty easy step by step guide. Would it work for html dummies like me?

This may be a pretty dumb question, but here goes anyway. It is normally done that people host webcards on external ISPs or only on their own servers. I see that PHP and MySQL are required to run Webcards. So, I'm guessing that if those are supported (in the correct versions), that you are okay with an ISP. However I saw the post about Godaddy not working and some info on the whole cronjob thing - which I'm not sure whether or not is usually controllable as a client of an ISP.

If it's okay to run on ISPs, are there suggestions (anyone) of good ones use. Obviously not Godaddy.

Thanks! Looks like just the software I need and I am super impressed by how up to date the discussions and quick response times to support questions are. but I need to use an external ISP. I'm doing a new website, so i can pick one, but am currently using GoDaddy, so need to find another for this website.

Dear John Doe,
John Doe (john.doe@gmail.com) has sent you a WebCard.
To pick it up just point your Browser to the following address:

Don't forget to send John Doe a card back while you are there.

Is it possible for webcards to send out a greeting each year? For example, if wanted to pre-program someone's birthday and for webcards to fire off the same greeting card each year (with message), could it? How about allowing the administrator to allow random rotating greeting cards to be send each year by a category such as "Mother's Day"?

Does WebCards support swf files as cards?
I'm an illustrator/animator looking for a promotional tool that can live on my site and send animated cards.

Huge regards

I am planning on buying your software. How would I install the software on my server. I use Dreamweaver for my web. Is this something I can do, or can you do it for me?
Thanks,

I tried your demo card and sent one to me as a test. Below the card I saw this computer language...
( Is that what my card recipients will see. I have a Mac computer.)
Thanks, Harriet

I have a private password protected membership area of my web using aMember software that I purchased from http://www.aMember.com

My members have to login to get into the membership area. I want them to have the ability to send out free cards from that membership area. Therefore, I would rather not have to ask them to login again to use the webcards. Is there anyway the login for aMember can also log them in to WebCards?

Thanks,

Can't believe it. They just told me that while PHP runs on its hosting accounts, they can't accommodate MySQL.

They say the only way they could do it for me is if I linked to another Web site.

Any ideas?

I want to make sending and paying for e-cards a prime feature on a Web site that's now being designed for me by GoDaddy. Some questions:

1.I've come up with 9 of my own e-cards (including art and text). Does this software allow me to format them? If so, how? Your demo doesn't appear to address that.

2.I only want to showcase my own personally designed e-mails. Is that possible? (Meaning, Ino offense, but I don't want any of your generic ones to show.)

3.How and where would they show up on my Web site? Ideally, what I'd like to do is promo a few on the home page, and then have people click through for the full array on a separate page. Is that the way it works?

4.What code would GoDaddy need to link my site with yours?
