Thank you very much! I did manually put the dimensions at the admin center and it worked! :)

Now the problem is, why is it taking forever for the card to show up? Is there another step I missed?

Kindly advised. Thank you again. :)

You need to let the script know what the dimensions of the Flash file are.

When you add the image there is a section that asks for the dimensions of the image and the thumbnail. You need to enter the dimenions here for a Flash file to display properly.

I have never really worked the default dimensions of a Flash file, but anyway that's how you fix it.

Hello, all! Hope someone out there can help me out. I still cannot upload images through the administration panel. Due to time constraints, I started adding images through "link an image." For test run, I uploaded a .gif and a .swf file. The .gif is viewed at its actual size when you click on the thumbnail. However, when you click on the .swf thumbnail, it does not convert to the actual size. Instead, you can only view about one third of its actual size ( http://diamondhealthnut.com/Greetings/index.php?pic=flash|2 ).

The actual .swf size can be viewed here - http://diamondhealthnut.com/Greetings/images/Christmas/Reason4theSeason1.swf/

The test run site is at http://diamondhealthnut.com/Greetings.

Your help is truly appreciated. Thank you! :)

That's why this idea is quite far down on the to-do list. It will be a lot of work for a feature that few people will use.

Indeed this is how it works.

I am looking at licencing a video player to distribute with WebCards, but I would expect that 99% of videos people want to send are already embeddable Flash files.

With youtube videos, you only need to copy and paste the embed code into free text boxes after you have clicked on to them, then change the size values in the thumbnail box. I have mine set at 150 x 160, but you can change these to suit your needs. Hope this helps.

Sounds good.
I'm looking to put together some of my old flash animated Christmas cards for Christmas so WebCards seems to fit the bill. It will be a little while before I buy though. (I want to get the most out of my 6 months :-))
Thanks for the prompt help - it makes a big difference

You can use swf files as cards. Anything that you can't upload you can simply paste the html for. This means that WebCards can support anything any type of media that can be displayed on a webpage.

This is how you can add YouTube videos like we have in the demo version.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Does WebCards support swf files as cards?
I'm an illustrator/animator looking for a promotional tool that can live on my site and send animated cards.

Huge regards
Dave
