   It would be very cool if there was a way to activate or De-activate categories for past holidays so that, for example, Christmas Cards were not always visible on the web site.

   You can do this. In your admin centre go to Edit Category. Choose the category to edit and there is a checkbox to disable the category.

   Sorry, should have checked closer first.

   It would be very nice if this functionality was in the Change Category Order screen or some other screen that showed all of the categories, especially if subcategories are not automatically disabled if the parent is disabled.

   Otherwise it is kind of a hassle if you have a Christmas category and 5+ child categories to go into the edit category for each of them and disable them one at a time.

   I have disabled a specific category. The link to that category is "turned off" but the images for that category still show up when clicking the "All Categories" link. Is there a way to prevent these disabled category images from showing up?

   Let me look into this for you.

   The problem with disabling child categories comes when a child has more than one parent category.

   I may simply be a bug in the code. I will get back to you when I have taken a look.
