Do you currently have a fairly easy way of doing this, importing members and users from another php script into mywebcards?

Is there some way that their address books (frequently used email addresses and names) could also be imported and used by mywebcards?

Specifically I am looking at switching to mywebcards from vcard pro that used to be developed by belchiorfoundry.com.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Unfortunately, you cannot import members from any other systems. Is this something you would like to see? Which particular systems would you like to import from?

You can import contacts from hotmail, google and yahoo and upload via csv, but not from any other systems.

Yes I at least need help in writing and/or applying the mysql statement (in phpMyAdmin) to import 700+ members, their logins and passwords, and their address books (lists of names, and email addresses) from a vcard pro system into mywebcards.

My goal is to make the switch from vcard pro to mywebcards as transparent as possible to the user - and get all of the benefits of mywebcards (particularly SEO) in the process.

I am finally ready to buy if this is a possibility so please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Brad

I don't know anything about vcard pro, but I can imagine the main stumbling block would be importing the passwords.

WebCards hashes users' passwords in such a way as to make it impossible to unencode them. I would expect vcard to do something similar. If you can send me a copy of the vcards source code (chris.charlton@gmail.com) I can take a look at it for you.
