   I've just got web cards and some web space and now am trying to Install it.
   The docs state:
   'Upload all the files, including your edited config.php, to an appropriate folder on your server'
   I'm not sure what that folder would be. I want to run web cards as it's own site so do I just upload the files to the main web site html folder?

   As you want to run web cards as its own site, then you just upload the webcards folder to your server. As you have said your main html folder. Unless like me you want to call it say ecards; Then i just renamed the webcards folder to ecards.

   I just uploaded the files to the main html folder and it seemed to install fine. I runs fine too.....well when I deleted the default index.html.

   Right. I'm going to have a little lie down and then think about learning how to customise things:-)

   Ah yes, I understand what you mean. You have done the right thing. Just upload the files to your root directory.
